Hugo Calderano is a Brazilian table tennis player.

Calderano is a 6-time Latin American champion – three times in singles and team events. On the professional circuit, he has won 6 singles and two doubles titles and on the club level, he has won one German Bundesliga title.

Elisa Borges and Marcos Marinho Calderano are the parents of Hugo Calderano. They are both Brazilians.

Meet Elisa Borges

Elisa Borges is the mother of Hugo Calderano.

Elisa received a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) in 1989. She then studied Applied Linguistics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro) in 1999.

Elisa also earned a Master’s degree in Language Studies from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in 2007 and graduated with Business Administration and Management, General from Fundação Dom Cabral in 2017.

She worked at Ibeu – Inglês Global as Academic Supervisor (2002-2010)  and Academic Superintendent (2010 – 2017).

Since December 2017, Elisa Borges has been serving as Manager at Time Calderano in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Meet Marcos Marinho Calderano

Marcos Marinho Calderano is the father of Hugo Calderano.

He was born in 1968.

He completed Colégio Santo Inácio ( St. Ignatius School, Rio de Janeiro) in 1985 and proceeded to Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Rio de Janeiro State University) in Brazil to pursue a degree.

Marcos has been married to Elisa Borges for a couple of years and together they share two children; Hugo Calderano and Sofia Calderano.
