Ion Nicolaescu, born on September 7, 1998, is a Moldovan professional footballer. He now plays forward for Beitar Jerusalem, an Israeli Premier League club, as well as for the Moldova national team.

Nicolaescu made his debut as a professional player for Zimbru Chișinău in the Divizia Națională on May 20, 2016. This debut came in a match against Academia Chișinău, where he came on as a substitute in the 65th minute.
Nicolaescu joined DAC Dunajská Streda, a squad in the Fortuna Liga, in September 2020.

His effect was seen almost immediately, as he scored two goals in a match against Jablonec, guiding his Slovak team to a 5-3 victory and advancing them to the Third Round of UEFA Europa League qualifying.
