Christen Press has undergone three surgeries and is set to undergo a fourth operation on her injured knee, ruling her out of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand.

Christen Press helped the United States win their titles at the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She has made 155 appearances for her country and is currently ninth all-time with 64 goals scored.

In June 2021, Christen Press was named in the 18-player United States Women’s soccer team roster for the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Press tallied a total of six goals and five assists in 2021 for the United States.
Christen Press is the all-time leading scorer for the Stanford Cardinal women’s soccer team with 71 goals. She was Stanford’s second Hermann Trophy winner and a two-time runner-up at the NCAA Women’s College Cup.
