However, in February 2022 El Mencho was rumoured to have died from respiratory problems, in a private hospital in Guadalajara. But this report is still unconfirmed.
What Happened To El Mencho?
In 2020, El Mencho reportedly suffered from Kidney disease.
The condition motivated him to build a hospital in the village of El Alcíhuatl.
Who Is El Mencho?
El Mencho is a Mexican drug lord, and the leader of the drug trafficking cartel – Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
He is currently the most-wanted drug criminal by both the Mexican and tthe U.S. governments
There is an offering of MXN$30 million and US$10 million, respectively, for anyone who can provide information about his whereabouts.

Born on July 17, 1966, in Michoacán, Aguililla, Michoacán, Mexico, El Mencho was raised in a poor family and later became a primary school dropout.
He found a way to illegally migrate to the U.S. in the 1980s, and was arrested several times.
He began working for the Milenio Cartel, and rose through the ranks of the criminal organization.
After many of his bosses were killed, El Mencho established the CJNG and recorded many deadly clashes between rival criminal groups and the security forces.
Security forces are on the look out fo him, as they believe he is somewhere in the rural terrains of Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit, and/or Colima.
El Mencho is married to Rosalinda González Valencia. The pair has been married since 1996.
The couple share 3 children namely; Rubén Oseguera, Jessica Johanna Oseguera González, and Laisha Michelle Oseguera González.
