Iman Shumpert is a free agent American professional basketball player. In 2016, he won an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Shumpert was chosen to compete in the NBA All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest in 2012, however, he was unable to play due to a knee injury.
On November 13, 2019, Shumpert joined the Brooklyn Nets, who had a roster exemption due to Wilson Chandler’s 25-game performance-enhancing substance (PED) suspension. Shumpert was waived by the Nets on December 12, when Chandler’s ban expired.

Shumpert agreed to return to Brooklyn on January 30, 2021. He appeared in one game for the Nets before being released. Shumpert signed a 10-day deal with the Nets on February 26.

The 31-year-old shooting guard is now a free agent. Even though he hasn’t played in the NBA for over a year, Shumpert hasn’t formally retired. It remains to be seen whether he returns to the NBA, but for the time being, he has shifted his concentration to the entertainment sector.
