Westley Watende Omari Moore (Wes Moore) is an American author, entrepreneur, television producer, and United States Army veteran. He is the founder and CEO of BridgeEdU, a social enterprise dedicated to helping students in their transitions to the freshman year of college.

He served as the CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation from 2017 to 2021 and n June 7, 2021, he launched his campaign to become the Democratic candidate for Maryland governor.

Moore is married to a gorgeous lady known as Dawn.

Moore and his wife moved to the Riverside community in Baltimore in 2006 and got married about a year later, on July 6, 2007.

Moore and his wife moved out of their Riverside home by late 2008, after they purchased a home for $1.2 million in the Guilford community in north Baltimore and keeping their Riverside home as a rental.

Together, they have two children, Mia (born 2011) and James (born 2014).

Moore is the author of The Other Wes Moore and The Work, both of which are New York Times Bestsellers.

He was also the host of Beyond Belief on the Oprah Winfrey Network, as well as the executive producer and a writer for Coming Back with Wes Moore on PBS.
