Isabelle Walsh, Elsa Walsh, Gemma Walsh: Meet Ruby Walsh’s Children

Ruby Walsh married Gillian Doran in July 2006. Their first child, Isabelle, was born in October 2009. The couple have gone on to have three more daughters, Elsa, Gemma and Erica.

Not much is revealed about their kids or family life.

Walsh retired from horse racing with immediate effect after winning the Punchestown Gold Cup aboard Kemboy back in May 2019.

As a jockey, Walsh took several knocks and was ruled out through injury plenty of times.

He suffered multiple leg breaks, fractured his wrist twice, dislocated one hip and fractured the other, cracked his elbow, dislocated both shoulders and suffered cracked and badly bruised vertebrae.

But when asked what his wife Gillian’s thoughts were on the dangers associated with his career, Walsh insisted she had no objections.

Walsh is the third most prolific winner in British and Irish jump racing history behind only Sir Anthony McCoy and Richard Johnson.the second child, and eldest son, of former champion amateur jockey Ted Walsh and his wife Helen.

Walsh was born on May 14th in 1979, and hails from Kill in Co. Kildare.
