Jamie Raskin Wife: Who Is Sarah Bloom Raskin?

Sarah Raskin is the wife of  Jamie Raskin, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Maryland’s 8th congressional district.

Sarah Raskin and her husband have two adult daughters, Hannah and Tabitha. They lost their son Thomas on December 31, 2020, to suicide after he suffered a prolonged battle with depression.

Sarah Bloom Raskin is an American attorney and regulator who served as the 13th Deputy Secretary of the Treasury of the United States from 2014 to 2017.

Sarah Bloom Raskin attended Amherst College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics with honours and Phi Beta Kappa in 1983 and wrote her undergraduate thesis on monetary policy.

In 1986, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School. Muhlenberg College awarded Raskin an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters on May 19, 2019.

From 2010 to 2014, Bloom Raskin was a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. She was also a managing director of the Promontory Financial Group and the Maryland commissioner of financial regulation.
