Jane Seymour Fonda is an actress, activist, and former fashion model from the United States. Fonda has received numerous honours, including two Academy Awards, two British Academy Film Awards, seven Golden Globe Awards and the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Jane Fonda has been arrested six times in total. Jane’s first arrest occurred in 1970, while she was on a speaking tour to publicise the Winter Soldier Investigation, donating all of her speaking commissions to WSI and locating servicemen ready to speak about some of their most harrowing experiences during the Vietnam War.
Jane avoided arrest until 2019 when she was arrested five times. Though her first four accusations were dropped, Jane did spend one night in jail for one of her detentions.

Jane has been getting arrested as a result of her activism on climate change. During the Vietnam War, Fonda was a political activist in the counterculture movement. During a 1972 visit to Hanoi, she was seen sitting atop a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun, earning her the nickname “Hanoi Jane.”
She was effectively blacklisted in Hollywood at the time. She has also spoken out against the Iraq War and brutality against women, and she considers herself a feminist and an environmental activist.
