Javon DeAndre Hargrave, an American football defensive tackle with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League, was born on February 7, 1993. (NFL). At South Carolina State, he participated in college football. In the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a selection of him.

In 2012, Hargrave enrolled at South Carolina State. He recorded 45 tackles and 4.5 tackles for a loss as a rookie in 2012. He accumulated 12.5 tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks the next season.
He finished the game against Bethune-Cookman on October 25, 2014, with a total of 6 sacks, tying an FCS record. As a junior in 2014, he recorded 16 sacks, placing third among FCS players, and was selected to the First Team All-MEAC.
Hargrave took part in the 2016 East-West Shrine Game on January 23, and his strong showing improved his draft standing. Hargrave attended the NFL Scouting Combine on the invitation and took part in all positional drills and workouts. He simply participated in positional drills at South Carolina State’s Pro Day while standing on his combined numbers.

Four defensive line coaches from the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tennessee Titans attended Hargrave’s Pro Day in addition to representatives and scouts from 23 NFL organizations, who came to watch Hargrave and 14 other prospects.
