Jeff Powell Accident: How Did Jeff Powell Die?

Jeffrey Powell was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and faithful friend, who died on June 8, 2022, at the age of 35.

Jeffery Powell died in a motor vehicle collision that happened at milepost 140 on Interstate 15 in Jefferson County at 6:56 on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

According to state police, Jeffrey Blane Powell of Idaho Falls was travelling south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 when he struck a young person operating a GMC Sierra pickup truck near milepost 140. Powell was operating a Chevrolet Silverado.

The adolescent was wearing a seatbelt and needed to be extricated from the GMC before being transported to a nearby hospital via ground ambulance.

The Idaho State Police are still investigating the crash. Powell was immediately declared dead. He had his seatbelt on. He is survived by his wife, Melanie and his two children, Sloane and Si.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
