Jerry Fontenot, a former center who competed in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cincinnati Bengals, New Orleans Saints, and Chicago Bears, was born on November 21, 1966. He is currently a football coach in the United States. In the third round of the 1989 NFL Draft, the Bears selected him. The university he attended was Texas A&M.

For the Green Bay Packers from 2006 to 2015, Fontenot worked as an assistant offensive line coach and tight ends coach. The firing of Fontenot occurred on January 19, 2016. For the Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL in 2019, he was appointed offensive line coach. While a member of the Texas A&M Aggies football team, Fontenot played college football. Fontenot was selected in the third round of the 1989 NFL Draft with pick number 65.
