Jerry Lee Lewis was a singer, songwriter, and pianist from the United States. Lewis was born in Ferriday, Louisiana to Elmo Kidd Lewis Sr. and Mary “Mamie” Herron Lewis.

Jerry Lee Lewis was 21 years old when he achieved national success with his pounding rockabilly singles “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” and “Great Balls of Fire” in 1958.
He was ranked No. 24 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2004. Lewis was the last surviving member of Sun Records’ Million Dollar Quartet, as well as the album Class of ’55, which featured Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, and Elvis Presley.

Lewis has a dozen gold records under his belt in both rock and country. He received four Grammy Awards, including one for Lifetime Achievement and two for Hall of Fame.
In 2022, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. His life was portrayed in the 1989 film Great Balls of Fire, starring Dennis Quaid. Rolling Stone ranked his box set All Killer, No Filler:
Jerry Lee Lewis passed away on October 28, 2022, at the age of 87. Lewis died at home in Memphis, Tennessee, according to his representative Zach Farnum. His cause of death was not revealed.
