Jim Carr Wife: Meet Colleen Suche

Jim Carr was a politician, journalist, and professional oboist from Canada. Carr was married to Colleen Suche, a judge of the Manitoba Court of King’s Bench. It is unknown how they met and when they got married.

Throughout her legal career, Colleen Suche has handled a wide range of litigation and served as an arbitrator in labor disputes, as well as an adjudicator under the Canada Labour Code and the Manitoba Human Rights Code. In 1990, she was appointed King’s Counsel.

Madam Justice Suche was very active in many community and professional organizations during her years of practice.

Madam Justice Suche has received the University of Winnipeg’s Distinguished Alumni Award as well as the Isabel Ross MacLean Hunt Award from the Manitoba Bar Association.

Jim Carr was a Liberal Party member who served as the MP for Winnipeg South Centre from 2015 until his death.

Jim Carr served as Natural Resources Minister from 2015 to 2018, and International Trade Diversification Minister from 2018 to 2019.

Jim Carr passed away at his home in Winnipeg, on December 12, 2022, following a long battle with blood cancer. He was 71. He was diagnosed in 2019.
