Whitney, her husband J.W. Johnson, her father Jimmy Haslam, and her mother Dee Haslam own the Cleveland Browns, a professional football team.

She is an investor in the Columbus Crew Soccer Club (SC), an Ohio-based major league soccer team. Whitney lives in Cleveland, Ohio, with her husband, J.W., and their three children.
