Jimmy Haslam Parents: Meet Jim Haslam And Cynthia Haslam

Jimmy Haslam is an American businessman and sports executive. He is the son of Jim  Haslam And Cynthia Haslam.

His father Jim Haslam founded the Pilot Corporation in 1958 as the Pilot Oil Corporation. His mother Cynthia died unexpectedly in 1974

Jim Haslam has also contributed tens of millions of dollars to the University of Tennessee over the course of several decades.

Haslam sits on the board of trustees at the University of Tennessee and has given tens of millions of dollars to the school and its athletic programs over the years.

In his honor, the football team’s new practice field was named “Haslam Field” in 2002. The Haslam family’s $32.5 million gift in 2006 was the school’s largest ever.

Part of this money was used to build the new James A. Haslam II Business Building for the College of Business, and part will be used to build a new building for the School of Music, which will be named after Natalie Haslam.
