Joan Crawford was the first wife of Vin Scully, the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers for more than six decades, who sadly died on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the age of 94.

Vin Scully was married to his first wife, Joan Crawford, from 1958 to 1972, and they shared three children together.

Details about Crawford’s life are under the wraps as she was generally unknown till her marriage to Scully. They were married for nearly 15 years when she passed away in 1972 at the age of 35.

According to reports, she passed away from an “accidental overdose of medicine”. Scully and Crawford shared three young children and after her passing, they were all taken care of by Vin.

Fifty years after the passing of his first wife, Vin Scully also died.

Scully’s passing was reported by the Dodgers. However, initial reports did not provide a cause of death.

But according to speculations, Scully passed away due to natural causes.

Scully was best known for his 67 seasons calling games for Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers, beginning in 1950 (when the franchise was located in Brooklyn) and ending in 2016.
