Joël Veltman is a Dutch footballer who plays the defense position for Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, as well as the Netherlands national team.

Veltman was born on January 15, 1992, in Netherlands, but has Malaysian & Indonesian roots.
He acquired his earlier trainings in the Ajax youth academy, and as a teenager, he played for VV IJmuiden, and the Ajax A1 youth squad.
Veltman officially began playing for the Ajax first team in 2012, and went ahead to make 246 appearances for the club.
In 2020, he was signed to the Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion on a three-year contract worth £900,000.
Additionally, Veltman represented Netherlands at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
