From April 2014 until joining WMUR in April 2015, he was the news editor of the New Hampshire Journal political website.
DiStaso was a political reporter for the Union Leader, a daily published in Manchester, New Hampshire.
With 35 years of experience covering New Hampshire politics and public policy, John DiStaso was the most experienced political writer in the state and was often referred to as the “dean” of the state’s political press corps.
John is a native of Paterson, NJ, where he attended public schools before graduating from Villanova University in 1975.
He received a master’s degree from William Paterson University in 1979.
