Born on May 3, 1972, in Tennessee, United States, Scott co-wrote and performed “Hero”, one of the theme songs used in Spider-Man (2002), which also won Best Video from a Film on the MTV Music Video Awards in 2003.

Aside from singing with the Saliva rock band, Scott sang with the band BlackBone, playing drums and the guitar.
He made collaborative performances with the likes of Jay-Z, Lil Wyte, Three 6 Mafia, and The X-Ecutioners.
Aside from music, Scott has appeared on a number of films such as the TNT crime drama Wanted, Hustle & Flow, and a few others.
In the movie, The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning, Scott sang the song “If You Wanna Get to Heaven”.
Scott left the Saliva group in 2011 to pursue a solo career in gospel music. However, in October 2019, he helped the band again during its music tour.
Three of the Saliva band’s songs – “Raise Up”, “Superstar”, and “Superstar II (EA Mix)” – were used as soundtrack in the video game Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003.
