Tongue is a right-arm fast-medium pace bowler and also bats right-handed. He’s affectionately known as ‘Jeevy Boy’ by his teammates. Tongue made his List A debut for Worcestershire in the 2017 Royal London One-Day Cup on Friday, 5 May 2017.
At the age of just 20, Tongue was called into the England Lions squad in October 2017 after just one full season of senior cricket. He made his first-class debut at the start of 2016 Championship season in April against Oxford MCCU, but a stress fracture derailed his season. However, he made a comeback and ended up with 47 wickets as Worcestershire clinched the Division Two title.
