Dean Windass, a former professional footballer who helped Hull City gain promotion to the Premier League in 2008, is the father of Josh Windass.

After James Tavernier also decided to extend his contract at Ibrox, Windass is the second player this week to sign a new one.
The 24-year-old signed a pre-contract deal in January 2016 and transferred to Gers from Accrington in July.
Since Graeme Murty succeeded Pedro Caixinha as manager in October, Windass has played in every game for the Rangers and has scored 12 goals in 30 games this season.

In the fourth round of the Scottish Cup last month, he also scored his maiden hat-trick for the Light Blues against Fraserburgh. He then added two more goals in the 6-1 triumph at Ayr in the next round.
