Judith Mary Murray, OBE (born Judith Mary Erskine) is a Scottish tennis coach, best known as the mother of professional tennis players Jamie and Sir Andy Murray.

Judy Murray was born on 8 September 1959 in Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire, to parents Roy Erskine and Eileen Shirley. There’s no further information on Judy’s mom.
Judy’s dad Roy Erskine is an optician and former footballer who had played for Stirling Albion in the 1950s.

Judy’s dad began his football career with Hibernian and played in some other first team matches, including an East of Scotland Shield Final, but never made a league appearance for the team.
Judy’s dad later played for Peebles Rovers, Stirling Albion and Cowdenbeath. In all, Judy’s dad made a total of 46 appearances in the Scottish Football League.
It’s worthy to note that Judy’s dad was a tennis player, but he was prohibited by the Scottish tennis authorities from continuing that sport actively after he became a professional footballer.
