Julianne Phillips is a model and actress from the United States. In the early 1980s, she began her career as a model before transitioning to acting.

Phillips rose to prominence as Bruce Springsteen’s girlfriend, and later his first wife. They met in October 1984 and married shortly after midnight on Monday, May 13, 1985, in her hometown of Lake Oswego, surrounded by intense media attention.

She filed for divorce in August 1988, citing irreconcilable differences, and it was finalised in March 1989.

Phillips began her modelling career in Manhattan in the early 1980s. By 1982, she was signed to the Elite Modeling Agency, which described her as a “perfect-ten package,” with earnings of up to $2,000 per day.

She then relocated to Los Angeles, where she appeared in the music video for “If I’d Been the One” by.38 Special. This led to Phillips’ roles in the made-for-TV film “His Mistress” in 1984.
