According to court documents, the plaintiff, an autograph dealer involved in the confrontation with West outside Soho House, claimed that the rapper unleashed an attack during their altercation. Allegedly, West, 46, yelled threatening remarks such as ‘I’m going to make a f***ing example of you,’ bringing up his divorce from Kim Kardashian before physically striking the autograph seeker.
The plaintiff asserts that after requesting an apology, West dismissed the notion, responding with, ‘Apology for what?’ Subsequently, the rapper allegedly continued to assault the man, causing severe injuries. Reports suggest that a person accompanying West implored him to cease the assault, but instead, he directed them to ‘go to the fing house and get my fing kids.’

While West was investigated for criminal battery after the incident, no charges were filed. However, the autograph seeker’s legal move seeks restitution for the alleged damages and distress endured during the altercation.
Shortly after the incident, West admitted to punching the autograph seeker during an interview with Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked. He claimed that he felt provoked by an individual who had been persistently seeking autographs, leading to his aggressive response.
In the interview, West explained that he was emotionally upset at the time, particularly due to his divorce from Kim Kardashian and other personal matters. He asserted that the autograph seeker was not a genuine fan but someone attempting to profit by selling autographs obtained from him.
Dramatic footage of the incident aftermath showed West emotionally distressed, shouting at his cousin, who was attempting to calm him down while the autograph seeker was on the ground, holding his head in pain. The video captured West’s frustration with various personal issues, contributing to the volatile situation.
The legal action comes as Kanye West faces consequences for his actions during the 2022 altercation, with the autograph seeker seeking accountability and restitution through the lawsuit.
