Kelvin Sampson Children: Meet Children: Kellen Sampson, Lauren Sampson

Kelvin Sampson is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the American Athletic Conference’s University of Houston.

Kelvin Sampson and his wife Karen Lowry have two children; Kellen Sampson and Lauren Sampson.

Their daughter Lauren is the University of Houston’s Men’s Basketball Director of External Operations, and Kellen is an assistant coach there as well.

Lauren Sampson is in charge of the Houston Men’s Basketball program’s publicity and oversees a variety of team functions throughout the year.

From 2005 to 2006, she was the director of sports marketing at the College of Charleston. Sampson, a native of Norman, Okla., oversaw and produced all marketing materials and activities for 21 sports programmes, as well as major fundraising events to increase overall business exposure.

Lauren Sampson earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with minors in history and Native American studies from the University of Oklahoma in 2004.

Kellen Sampson began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Indiana and then his Alma-mater Oklahoma.
