Dana worked for the outlets KSAZ, KPNX, and Channel 5 before retiring in 2011.

After graduating from West High School in 1960, Kent attended ASU for a year and went on a two-year mission to Uruguay for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Following his return, Kent transferred to Brigham Young University where he studied broadcast journalism and worked at a Provo radio station.

Kent began his journalism career at the television station KSAZ based in Phoenix, Arizona, now Fox 10.

He worked at the Valley station KPNX (12 News) for 25 years and became the face of the evening news on the channel.

He then joined CBS 5 in 2005 and served as a news anchor at the station for six years before retiring in 2011.

Throughout his career, Dana won several Emmy awards, was inducted into the Arizona Broadcasters Hall of Fame and received the Rocky Mountain Emmy Governor’s Award in 2018.

Janet Dana is the second wife of Kent Dana.

The pair married for more than 30 years and were together until he died on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Kent Dana and Janet had two children together. However, details about them are not available on the web.

Kent Dana also had four children with his ex-wife Carol Ann Huber Dana; Joe Dana, Susan Allen Dana, Micheal Dana and Kathryn Dana.
