Kim Young-ok began her career in 1959 as an announcer at the Chuncheon Broadcasting Station. Kim Young-ok later became a voice actor for the CBS Christian Broadcasting Company and MBC Cultural Broadcasting.

In 1969, she appeared in her first MBC TV drama. Kim Young-ok is one of Korea’s representative actors who has been active without a hiatus since her debut.

Kim Young-ok has appeared in numerous films and television dramas throughout her career. Some of her notable works include “An Affair” (1998), “The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince” (2007), “Protect the Boss” (2011), and “Romance Without Love” (2021).
