Kristie Sita Accident: How did Kristie Sita lose her hand?

Kristie Sita, a Canadian lady who lost her hand in a weird boating accident as when she was 16 years has explained to her TikTok followers why she doesn’t like using a prosthetic.

Sita was out on Ruby Lake on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia at age 16 when her  hand was severed off by a rope; a rope wrapped around her arm and sliced off her hand. 

The accident left her without her left land and while she thought it was a ‘nightmare’ at the time, she has since come to terms with the loss and uses prosthetics only when it’s extremely necessary.

Sita does not use prosthetics for daily tasks like cooking and doing makeup, as she has found a way to do it with one hand.

Sita, a professional dancer only uses a prosthetic when necessary, like while lifting weights at the gym.

Sita insists that she doesn’t want a prosthetic hand because she is ‘super confident in her arm’ and doesn’t want to ‘pretend’ to have a hand while she knows she doesn’t.

In furtherance, Sita said;

“I find the more I cover it up, the more I’m going to be insecure about it.”
