Kuami Eugene Suffers Injuries in Car Collision with Tipper Truck

Ghanaian music sensation Kuami Eugene suffered injuries on Sunday, March 17, 2024, following a collision with a tipper truck.

The accident took place near CP, close to the DSTV office towards the Dzowulu traffic light in Accra. Although it remains unclear where the musician was headed at the time, the incident occurred around 11:30 pm.

Eyewitness Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, the Editor for Modern Ghana news portal, recounted the terrifying moment when he witnessed the accident firsthand.

He rushed to Kuami Eugene’s aid, assisting him and his male passenger out of the car before arranging transportation to the UGMC hospital.

Ajarfor noted that the tipper truck was in motion but moving slowly when the collision occurred. He attributed the accident to the poor lighting on the N1 highway and the lack of tail lights on the tipper truck, which worsened visibility.

Upon examination at the hospital, Kuami Eugene was found to have sustained injuries, including a broken arm, cuts on his lips, leg, and hip. Thankfully, his male passenger did not exhibit any physical injuries but complained of neck and back pains.

Ajarfor promptly alerted police officers from the Achimota Police Station, who towed the damaged car from the scene. Reflecting on the severity of the incident, Ajarfor emphasized the potential gravity of the situation, remarking on the extensive damage to the car and the airbags that deployed upon impact.

Despite the injuries sustained, Kuami Eugene is reported to be in stable condition, with medical professionals attending to his injuries.
