Kyah Simon, an Anaiwan woman, was born in Blacktown, New South Wales, Australia. The first Aboriginal woman to score a goal for the Australian Women’s National Football Team (the Matildas) was Simon, who joined the team in 2008.

She has represented Boston Breakers in the United States while also representing Sydney FC, Central Coast Mariners, and Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia. As a member of the Matildas, Simon represented Australia in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Simon appeared on the cover of the Australian FourFourTwo Magazine in June 2011 alongside Melissa Barbieri, Sam Kerr, Thea Slatyer, and Sarah Walsh, who were all Matilda cast members.
