Lenny Von Dohlen, who was best known for his role as Harold Smith in Twin Peaks, died at the age of 63. The actor’s agent confirmed the news on Friday. No cause of death was given. His sister Catherine Von Dohlen first shared the news with a dedication to him on Facebook on Thursday.

He lived most of his life in a log house along the Dead Mare Branch of Little Carr Creek, Knott County, Kentucky. He was best known for the novel River of Earth, which depicted the struggles of coal mining in eastern Kentucky
