The Mexican professional basketball player Lou Lopez-Sénéchal plays for the Dallas Wings of the Women’s National Basketball Association(WNBA).
Born May 12, 1998, in Guadalajara, Mexico, Lopez-Sénéchal is the daughter of Carlos Lopez(father) and Sophie Sénéchal(mother).
After high school, she committed to play her collegiate basketball for Fairfield Stags over offers from UMass Lowell, Tulsa, Akron, and Duquesne.

During her four-year stints with the Fairfield Stags women’s basketball team, Lopez-Senechal received several accolades including 2021-22 MAAC Player of the Year, 2022 MAAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, Three-time All-MAAC First Team (2020, 2021, and 2022), Two-time All-Met First Team (2021, and 2022), and 2018-19 MAAC Rookie of the Year.
After being named the MAAC Player of the Year as a senior at Fairfield Stags, she transferred to the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team in the latter part of the 2022-2023 season.
Lou Lopez-Sénéchal was selected 5th overall pick by the Dallas Wings in the 2023 WNBA Draft.
