Adam Fravel was taken into custody on second-degree murder charges Wednesday, June 7  night weeks after he insisted that he had nothing to do with her disappearance, authorities said.

Rebecca Jacobson, Kingsbury’s aunt, told Fox News Digital in a statement that the “family believes the right person is in custody and is hopeful that we will find Madeline.”

Madeline Kingsbury and Fravel were no longer in a relationship at the time Kingsbury vanished. According to her sister, they were still living together, though she was looking for a new place to live without him.
