Maïwenn Children: Meet Shanna Besson, Diego Le Fur

Maïwenn a French actress, film director, and screenwriter is the mother of two children Shanna Besson and Diego Le Fur.

Her son Diego was born in 2004 and her daughter Shanna Besson was born on January 3, 1993, when her mother was 16 and her father, Luc Besson, was 33 years old.

During the filming of The Fifth Element in 1995, Luc Besson abandoned Maïwenn for young actress Milla Jovovich. As a result, Maïwenn returned to Paris with her daughter Shanna.

Shanna Besson made her acting debut at the age of ten in her mother’s directorial debut, the short film I’m an Actress. Besson went on to work behind the scenes in the film.

She directed a “making-of” featurette for her father’s film The Lady (2011). She later started working as a still photographer for both of her parents. Her father produced the film Taken 2. Her mother was in charge of Mon roi.
