According to Singian, medical personnel were stationed across the racecourse from start to finish. The company also worked with local officials and weather specialists to monitor weather conditions leading up to and during the event.

The temperature fluctuated from the mid-60s to the upper 70s during the race, which began at 7 a.m., according to Singian. A heat advisory was in force throughout New York City until 8 p.m. Saturday, warning that hot temperatures and heavy humidity could cause heat illnesses.
