The Spanish professional footballer Marco Asensio plays as a winger and attacking midfielder for La Liga club Real Madrid and the Spain national team.
Asensio commenced his football career at Platges de Calvià before moving on to Mallorca youth team in 2006.
He was then promoted to Mallorca B senior team where he played one season before proceeding to the main team in 2013.

While there, he was scouted by Real Madrid and On November 24, 2014, Real Madrid reached an agreement in principle to sign Asensio for a six-year deal for a €3.9 million fee.
He then had a loaned stint with his former team Mallorca and Espanyol before returning to Madrid in the 2016–17 season.
Internationally, Marco Asensio has represented the Spain national team at the under-16, under-19 and under-21 levels. He was called to the senior team in 2016.
