Marg Helgenberger Ex-Husband: Who is Alan Rosenberg?

Alan Rosenberg is an American actor and ex-husband of Marg Helgenberger a well-known American actress.

Helgenberger met Alan Rosenberg, a guest star on Ryan’s Hope, in 1984. In 1986, the two became friends and began dating.

The couple announced their separation on December 1, 2008, and she filed for divorce on March 25, 2009. Their divorce was finalized in February 2010.

Helgenberger and Rosenberg became involved in the fight against breast cancer as a result of Helgenberger’s mother’s 27-year battle with the disease.

Since 1999, they have held an annual benefit called Marg and Alan’s Celebrity Weekend in Omaha, Nebraska.

Alan Rosenberg is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Eli Levinson in both the Civil Wars and the popular L.A. Law.

He was president of the Screen Actors Guild, the main motion picture industry on-screen performers’ union, from 2005 to 2009.

Alan Rosenberg had a recurring role in the Showtime cable series Shameless from 2016 to 2017. He played Professor Youens, an alcoholic college professor and Lip Gallagher’s mentor.
