American actress, Margia Dean has been reported dead. According to sources, she died in her apartment in Rancho Cucamonga, California, on June 23, 2023. She was 101. She was believed to have died of natural causes.

Born on April 7, 1922, Margia Dean, real name Marguerite Louise Skliris-Alvarez, started acting when she was just 7 years old. She appeared on stage in many child roles and later won the Women’s Shakespeare Contest for her role as Juliet in a production of Romeo and Juliet. She also took up modeling and was named “Miss San Francisco” and “Miss California” in 1939.

She made her feature film debut in Casanova in Burlesques (1944) and adopted her stage name, Margia Dean. Her first leading role was in Shep Comes Home (1948). She also starred in several movies including Red Desert, FBI Girl, The Lonesome Trail, Villa! Seven Women From Hell, Abush at Cimarron Pass, and more.
Dean’s association with Lippert led to her being cast in The Quatermass Xperiment (1955), which was her first horror film. Due to being continuously cast in B-movies, she retired from acting following her marriage in 1965 to her second marriage. Her final film was Moro Witch Doctor.
