Genevieve Nault was reportedly married to Brodeur’s ex-wife Melanie Dubois’ brother when her affair with Martin Brodeur was made public.
This led to the breakdown of Martin Brodeur’s marriage to his ex-wife Melanie Dubois. Dubois filed for divorce during the 2003 NHL Playoffs (while Brodeur and his Devils were playing) amid rumors Brodeur was having an affair with Nault.

Following their divorce, Genevieve Nault and Martin Brodeur walked down the aisle in June 2008 at the Bavaro Princess Resort in the Dominican Republic.
Genevieve Nault and Martin Brodeur have one child together, a son, Maxime Philippe ( born in November 2009).
While Martin Brodeur and his ex-wife Melanie Dubois share four children; Anthony Brodeur (born 1995) twin sons; Jeremy Brodeur and William Brodeur (born 1996), and a daughter Annabelle Antoinette Brodeur (born 2002).
