American journalist Matt Drudge, born in Takoma Park, Maryland, on October 27, 1966, is best known for founding the Drudge Report, a website devoted to conservative news and opinion.

Takoma Park, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C., is where Drudge was raised. He relocated to Los Angeles in 1989, a few years after receiving his high school diploma, and began working in the CBS Television studio gift shop.
He started writing an email newsletter in 1994 after his father gave him a computer and featured rumors about the entertainment business that he had picked up on the studio lot.
