Cox portrayed Lizzy Gilliam, the sister of the female lead in the short-lived NBC spy thriller “Undercovers,” who was oblivious to her family’s involvement in CIA activities. Jessica Parker Kennedy was originally cast in the part, but Cox replaced her before the show’s broadcast.

Lizzy’s persona was described as “boy crazy” and spent the majority of her time operating the family catering business. Cox connected with Lizzy because she perceived her as light-hearted, fun-loving, and having a decent heart despite struggling with an intriguing past.
