However, Beale’s time in Brazil was relatively brief, lasting just six months. Ceni’s dismissal due to subpar performances in the league and cup competitions led to Beale’s return to Merseyside, where he continued coaching youth teams at Liverpool.

The next pivotal phase of Beale’s career unfolded at Rangers. Specifically chosen by Steven Gerrard to be his assistant manager, Beale reunited with his former colleague. Alongside Gary McAllister, the trio orchestrated Rangers’ resurgence, guiding the club to their first league title in a decade.

Beale’s influence on the team’s training sessions played a vital role in their success. His strategic contributions were instrumental in halting Celtic’s bid for ten consecutive league titles.

Yet, the Gerrard era at Rangers was relatively short-lived, as Gerrard moved to Aston Villa, marking his entry into the Premier League in November 2021. Beale and McAllister followed Gerrard to Villa, but their impact couldn’t replicate the success they achieved at Rangers, with Villa finishing 14th in the Premier League.

In the summer of 2022, Beale faced a new challenge as he assumed his first major managerial role with Championship side Queens Park Rangers (QPR). Despite his lack of prior managerial experience outside of youth football, Beale led QPR to the top of the Championship by October 2022.

However, Beale’s loyalty was tested when Wolverhampton Wanderers approached him to become their manager following Bruno Lage’s dismissal. Despite the opportunity to step up to a higher division, Beale declined, emphasizing his commitment by stating that he couldn’t be the “first person to run away from the ship.”

Just a month later, Rangers came calling again, and Beale returned to Scotland on November 28, 2022, this time as the manager of the first team. He quickly made his mark, earning the title of Scottish Premiership manager of the month for December.
