Michael Matthews CYCLIST Wife: Who Is Katarina Matthews?

Katarina Matthews is the wife of Michael James Matthews, an Australian professional road and track cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Team BikeExchange–Jayco.

Katarina Matthews was born Katarina Hajzer and she is a Slovakian.

She was his longtime girlfriend and they got married in August 2015.

The pair have a four-year-old daughter. However, the name of their daughter has not been made public.

Katarina Matthews is part of a strong partnership with her husband.

Not only is she his wife but the pair work hard on ensuring he is in the best possible condition – physically and mentally – to do his job to the best of his ability.

Despite her efforts, she doesn’t give herself the title of “manager” even though she does manage much of the details associated with the life of his pro bike rider husband.

Asked in an interview by Ride Media whether she considers herself as his manager, she said;

“No, I’m his wife…

“I think if you’re in a relationship with somebody and you love him so much, it’s sort of your role to be supportive in anyway. And that’s what I’m trying to do, support him in any way he wants to me to do. So I’m ‘just a wife’.”
