Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC’s National Communications Officer, also condemned the arrest, accusing the police of acting under the influence of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Naa Koryoo’s assistant, Delali Sewarkpor, echoed these sentiments, describing the detention as political persecution orchestrated by NPP elements.
Following her release, jubilant NDC supporters celebrated outside the Cantonments Police Station around 12:10 pm on Saturday.
Sewarkpor confirmed to Citi News that Naa Koryoo was freed at approximately 11:30 am on Saturday after significant pressure from NDC leaders.
