Nadja Tiller was born in Vienna, Austria, where she attended a Realgymnasium high school. She is the daughter of actor Anton Tiller of Vienna and his wife Erika Tiller (1902–1979), an opera singer and actress from Danzig.

She started her studies at the Max-Reinhardt-Seminar in 1945 and completed them at the Musik- und Schauspielakademie until 1949.

Austrian actress Nadja Tiller lived from 16 March 1929 until 21 February 2023. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, she was one of the most well-liked German-speaking actresses in foreign films.

She joined the Theater in der Josefstadt’s ensemble the same year. She won the Miss Austria contest in 1949, an Austrian national beauty contest for single women. In 1952, she made her feature film debut in Märchen vom Glück (Good Luck Fairytale).

From September through October 2010, Nadja Tiller made cameo appearances in the play Vor uns die Sinnflut by Schorsch Kamerun at the Thalia Theater Tent in Hamburg’s Hafencity as the greatest diva of all time. She played Mrs.

Higgins was in the musical My Fair Lady at the Staatstheater Braunschweig from January through April 2015; she reprised the role for the 2015–16 season.

On November 30, 2006, Nadja Tiller and her husband Walter Giller each won a Bambi for their lifetime of effort. They relocated to Hamburg’s Augustinum retirement community in the middle of March 2008.

Tiller died on 21 February 2023 in Hamburg, Germany.
