Natalie Curtis (Wheelchair Basketballer) Husband: Was Natalie Curtis Married?

Yes, Natalie was once a married woman. In the years that followed, she concentrated on new undertakings while fighting for rehabilitation, such as getting married and adopting Malakai Curtis, who is now 4 years old. After unsuccessful IVF attempts with her ex-husband and battles with homelessness following their divorce, she did adopt Malakai.

Although the specifics of her husband are currently unknown, we think they shared a romantic moment before their split.

Despite having spina bifida, a congenital anomaly in which the spinal cord fails to develop properly, Ms. Curtis was active in sports from an early age.

She stopped swimming as a child after her little sister tragically drowned in the family’s backyard pool.

When she was 14 years old, she began playing wheelchair basketball and practiced until she was an adult. Later, she was given a spot on the Australian Gliders, and in 2013, she took home a silver medal from the Japan Oceania Championships.

She suffered five spinal fractures in a tragic car accident on the way back to Townsville from the Olympics, shattering all of her dreams of competing on a global scale.
