Nicola Walker is an English actress who was born on May 15, 1970. She is best known for her leading parts in several British television series beginning in the 1990s, such as Ruth Evershed in the spy drama Spooks (2003–2006 and 2009–2011) and DCI Cassie Stuart in Unforgotten (2015–2021).

She has also worked in radio, theater, and movies. She was nominated twice for the BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress for the BBC drama Last Tango in Halifax and won the 2013 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress for the play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
When Walker received a spot in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after graduating from Cambridge, she chose not to accept because she already had a few parts and an agency.
