Dr. Mathew Adepoju, Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), unveiled this initiative during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Adepoju attributed this milestone to the partnership between NASRDA and the Space Exploration and Research Agency (SERA), highlighting their collaborative efforts in making space exploration accessible to non-military personnel.
