About Patrick Malahide
Patrick Malahide is a popular actor who played the character of “Balon Greyjoy, Lord of the Iron Islands, and the father of Theon and Yara, of House Greyjoy, in the HBO series Game of Thrones.”
The English-born actor made his TV debut in 1976, in the film The Flight of the Heron.

Some of his early films include Sutherland’s Law, The New Avengers, Playhouse, and the TV series Minder, where he played Detective Sergeant Albert “Cheerful Charlie” Chisholm.
On television, Patrick appeared in many series including The Pickwick Papers, The Singing Detective, Middlemarch, Comfort and Joy, Mandolin, The World Is Not Enough, A Month in the Country, and The Inspector Alleyn Mysteries.
In 2021, he played Vohl in the action film The Protégé, and in 2023, he portrayed Alison’s father Jack Rowdy, in the British-French thriller series Liaison.
Other film credits of his are Brideshead Revisited, The Paradise, Luther, Game of Thrones, and Mortal Engines.
